I offer a range of creative experiences for both the workplace and out of hours. These include sessions focusing on team building, promoting well-being and mindfulness, and learning new skills. I also offer seasonal celebrations based activities including card making and Christmas crafts.
I am happy to tailor events to your requirements, but can also offer a range of options.
‘Immersing yourself in a creative activity produces an almost meditative state where your mind is so engrossed in what you're doing that you temporarily forget all of your troubles and worries.’ (Benayon, 2017).
Creative activities focus the mind, encourage self-expression, strengthen communication skills and reduce stress. Problem solving is a fundamental skill in business. Stepping away from the problem and participating in a mindful activity such as walking outdoors, reading a book, or creating something can lead to individuals looking at problems from a new perspective and solving them in a more creative way (Burns, 2017).

A fun and sociable event spending time letting your creative juices flow and being mindful. |
I felt looked after. The activities brought me into the present, and it was rewarding to tackle a challenge in a different format/context, being creative in the raw sense. It was mindful and social. |
A great opportunity to be creative, mindful and sociable all at once. I love how relaxed it is and there are no pressure or expectations. Just talk, create and laugh. |
VISION
Your employees are your greatest asset, and it is your responsibility to reward and inspire them to get the best results (Sturt, 2016). Millennials and Gen Z are fast paced and highly technological, and require opportunities to learn and develop to maximise their potential (Alton, 2017).
My vision is to work with employers to improve the mental and emotional health of their staff through providing creative and mindful experiences in the form of practical workshops which improve well-being. These workshops include stimulating and engaging content within the fields of art, textiles and design using a range of materials and processes.
Creativity is a skill which can be learnt and nurtured, and a creative mind leads to a greater ability to problem solve and generate ideas in any setting, not just the art world (Burns, 2017).
MISSION
As an employer you are morally and economically responsible for the wellbeing of your employees, and with 1 in 6 now facing ill mental health annually, it is a pressing issue (Taylor, 2017). Promoting employee wellbeing through in-house activities will improve their engagement and attention span, and overall productivity.
Ill mental health and poor wellbeing lead to increased levels of absence, lower levels of engagement, higher staff turnover, lower quality work and a decrease in productivity (Taylor, 2017). Ever growing exposure to blue light both at work and at home is having an impact on individuals sleeping patterns. People are sleeping less, and experiencing lower quality sleep, which has a direct impact on productivity (Walker, 2017).
My mission is to support employers in enhancing their team’s productivity and participation at work through providing fun and mindful experiences away from their desks and professional responsibilities. Time away from tasks will actually improve workflow and outcomes!
